Patient Medication Administration-Based Mobile Application

The objective of this work is the development of a mobile application that aids patients take their proper medication dosages at the right time. The Department of Health estimates that about 300M of medicines (Triggle, 2011) get wasted each year in England as a result of patients not taking their medication properly.Computing technology has shown in recent times that its application can provide better services to the medical sector. The researcher aims to develop a mobile application - PillPod - which would remind patients to take their medication on time and also provide details of the medication to the patients. This software is to be developed for a firm - LornaLou Ltd - based in the UK.In addition, the researcher has chosen to investigate the most feasible development process applicable to this software development with the aim of proposing a better software development methodology which can be applied in the development of software systems exhibiting the characteristics of this software project.
