6. Curing with the Illness Itself. We flee it, but God harnesses, directs, and transforms illness into the cure.

7. Perfection Welcomes Failure. Instead of driving our failures away in fear, the perfect God draws us to Himself while we are yet sinners.

A look at how God gives us opportunities to practice patience while we move towards eternal perfection in heaven. Chapters include questions for thought or discussion and a hymn connection from the LSB. Themes are connected to various people in the Bible and real-life scenarios. One big "aha" for me was his mention of the prodigal son story and how the father did not celebrate at the younger son's return until he found the older son and addressed his anger. In a way, both sons were lost to him. The father did not chase after the younger one, but sought out the older who had been with him doing his duty, but had his owns sins to address.
