Pathworking with the Norse Gods

She did it again. Every time I have the honour of working with Judith, I get something valuable out of the experience, and this is in the form of wisdom and understanding. Case in point is this book, Pathworking with the Norse Gods.
If you judged this work by its title alone, you would miss the true wealth of wisdom it has. In her usual, logical, well-thought-out approach, Judith lays out a complete book on engaging the Norse Gods through Pathworking. I emphasise the book as a whole because, early on, she sets the stage by covering the basics before launching into the deities. These basics include how to do a ritual, supplies, etc., but most importantly, history.
Judith cements her top-shelf author reputation by explaining the history of the Norse Gods in a way I have not seen before, but has been there all along, waiting in the shadows to be discovered. To wit, she shares extensive research into the real history of these ancient beings. I do not mean that she presents some mystical, nuanced, hidden origin story; rather, her information is grounded in academia, and, best of all, it's all logical I won't say a lot about this point here, because I want you to enjoy the experience of learning what she shares. Suffice to say, by the time I was done with this preliminary information, I saw parallels and extensions of what she shared in other regional belief systems, reinforcing the authenticity of her work.
Once foundational material is established, Judith moves on to walk the reader through the necessity of a guide and the importance of journaling. All of this creates a self-contained atmosphere in which someone can pick up this book and perform the rituals with ease, while also learning about the Norse Gods in general. Other books of this type spend very little time on background setting, preferring to focus on pathworking with the most popular deities of the time, but Judith takes a much more thoughtful and thorough approach to pathworking. To my knowledge, this is the most complete book of pathworkings for the Norse pantheon, and at the same time, one of the easiest to digest.
Judith maintains a very usable structure throughout, giving the reader a glimpse into the deity before engaging in conversation through the corresponding pathworking. I personally enjoy this because it reduces page flipping when you're working through the book. This format also gives you a certain level of comfort as to what to expect as you progress. Her attention to this detail is indicative of what you can expect when you commune with these ancient beings. Consistency and detail give us a solid yet adaptable frame to work with, which expedites the gnosis process.
Another impressive point of this valuable book is the number of deities she shares with us. Other books on pathworkings focus on a small number of deities in the specific pantheon, but Judith does us the service of providing pathworkings for a total of twenty-seven Norse Gods and Goddesses 27 Before beginning this excursion, though, she provides a pathworking focused on the legend of the beginning, so to speak. I particularly appreciate this because it is fairly uncommon to find a pathworking for a time or place. Most pathworkings focus on personalities, and it is refreshing to be given one based on a concept. Independently and privately, I have played with this idea over the years, pathworking with the ancient Egyptian idea of Zep Tepi, but to see Judith provide this establishing pathworking was a validation of my own unverified personal gnosis regarding this application of pathworkings. Well, it is inspiring Once this pathworking is shared, she launches into the beating heart of the book by giving pathworkings of the Norse Gods, beginning with Vili & Ve and ending with Sol & Mani.
