Alter wrote a post-apoc novel?

Robert Alter died way to early. If you remember his pulpish novels though you wont be disappointed in his foray into the post-apocalyptic world here. Reads a bit like I AM LEGEND which predates it. The story is interesting and real. Its a decent read and worth the price if youre a collector. I love you FAINA!
