It is a touching story worth reading

Patchwork Summer is a moving tale about the relationship of a daughter and a mother, who has just recently arrived back. Randi, the daughter, was left in charge of Meggie, or Megan, her little sister, her father and the house. When Marilyn, their mother, comes back, saying that she has finally found herself, Randi is determined to show her that she and the family don't need her. This was an excellent book and I'd say it is appropiate for all children. Our class, 7B of Warrigal Road State School, taught by Mrs Artemieff, has just finished reading it.

It wasn't the best book I've read but it wasn't the worst.

I thought the book was a diffrent way of looking at life but it had a pretty boring ending. I also liked how the author put letters in it.

worth reading

I liked this book at the end because she made up with her Mum and Alexs letter made sense. I also liked T.C(the cat)because it raelly showed what Randies Mum was like.Alex also played an important part in this story, he was the one that brought Randi to her senses. On the last letter he told Randi "But why am I telling you all this? You don't care",he said this because Randi stopped writing to him.

We thought the book was good at the end.

I thought this book was good for when her mum came back you have lots of questions you would have to read the book to answer. We liked the cat T.C (Two-Colours) because he was always envolved with Meggie.

This book shows the feelings of a daughter with a runaway mu

This book shows the feelings of a young girl and the way she copes when her mother runs away from her. When her mother comes home she has mean hard feelings for her and then one day she falls to her pain and forgives her mum. This is a touching story and is a must to read.
