Sarena had a lot of struggles in her early years with school, health, loss of friends to tragedy. She wrote poems and stories to help her get through the tough times. Poetry has a way of comforting and giving strength when nothing else helps. These poems were much too good to be left in the drawer. Sarena didn't mind people taking pictures of her so along the line we also built up quite a library of pictures. It just seemed natural that the pictures became part of the finished work.
