Believe it or not, it's great light reading!

I am in a seminary program, and this is a required textbook for the Pastoral Intervention and Counseling program. I was surprised at how readable and enjoyable this text is, especially compared to the other two I had to read. It is for the layman, and the personality disorders are laid out carefully and good case studies help cement personality types. Very readable, even for non-clergy.

This is a must read for pastors who find themselves in frequent counseling situations. For many of my friends in seminary, this by far was the most useful ministry book that we came in contact with. If you are a pastor and find yourself counseling troubled individuals, then add this book to your repetoire and up your ability and understanding of the spiritual counseling process.
