Passover-A Season of Freedom by Drucker

The feast of Passover celebrates the shedding of slavery and the freedom of the Jews approximately 3000 years ago. The formal religious ceremonies involve a reader who blesses food and matzoh. Hillel sandwiches combine the bitterness of slavery with the joy of freedom. Yiddish humor is depicted. When is wood like a Pharoh? The answer is the manufacture of a ruler. Another tidbit of humor involves the following: - How is haggadah like the Red Sea? Answer. They are both read. Classic cooking combinations are described as follows: - Zwebel Matzoh is made with a matzoh. 1/2 onion, salt and sweet butter - Matzoh Brei is made with 4 matzoh, 4 eggs beaten and 3 table- spoons of butter - Haroset is made with 1/2 mixed walnuts, 3 apples and 1/4 mixture of sweet red wine and cinnamon which helps to metabolize sugar The presentation would be useful for a wide constituency of Christians, Jews and fine Chefs everywhere.
