Passive-Aggressive People: How To Win With Passive-Aggressive People

Passive-aggressive people. You know the type.

They never say they won't do something. They agree but then, aw shucks, "the dog ate their homework" - and, of course, it's not their fault.

They never ask for what they want. They whine or charm or sulk... until you offer. But they didn't ask, so they don't owe you anything. Hey, you offered.

And they claim to be the kindest person in the world. Would never hurt a fly. But they attack others - always with plausible deniability.

In all cases they must get their way, they have a plausible excuse that allows them to escape taking responsibility for their actions. They manage to avoid being confronted by those who are affected. If they try to confront them, they can always deny any intent ("No, I really wanted to be on time, but the bus was late.")

These people will drive you crazy. So what do you do to win with these types?

In this book passive-aggressive people, we'll define passive aggression; explain why people might act in this way, examples of this behavior, and strategies for dealing with it and winning with these types.

Thirty-Seven Page Book / Not Helpful

This review is strictly about the book’s content. The book itself arrived in brand new condition and on time. My 1 star review is because I felt this book was not at all helpful. I felt like I was reading a high school paper written by AI. The title is misleading as there is hardly any information about how to deal with a passive aggressive person. It was only 37 pages of large print, some only half filled. That number includes the copyright page, Table of Contents, and the Introduction and Conclusion pages. Furthermore, there was no bio information for the author so we could see what made her an “expert” qualified to write a book on this subject. The entire book was mostly about what passive aggressiveness is, not how to deal with it. There was only one example of a passive aggressive situation and the author spends more time stating what the passive aggressive person did wrong rather than how others should respond. This was not helpful at all and definitely not worth $12!
