Some of us obtain an education in a field of study we adore and quite often go on to pursue a career in that field. I took it one step further and wrote a book about it. My first book entitled Between Closed Curtains was a collection of stories pertaining to the field of physical therapy. This book goes beyond the scope of physical therapy. With the assistance of gynecologists, pulmonologists, podiatrists, paramedics, nurses, and other medical professionals it offers entertaining stories among other fields of medicine. What happens when a patient goes to a medical supply store and asks for a cock splint? How was a patient diagnosed with frostbite in June? Why did a woman and her husband have a headache at the same time? Should pharmacists fill all prescriptions? And why should you mow a lawn downhill instead of uphill? Names have been omitted for anonymity purposes, but all stories are true. If you are capable of finding humor in everyday scenarios you will enjoy the anecdotes in this book.
