The first time we hold our child or grandchild in our arms, we know that our life has just changed forever. There is no more sacred trust than the responsibility of loving and raising a child. In our hearts we make a commitment to our child that very day. We often recommit to them publicly on the day of their baptism when we promise to help our child grow in the Christian faith and life.
