This index lists about 34000 names. Most of them are names of polymer products which are known by their trade names in the specialist literature, but source materials for polymers (monomers) and other substances which are important for the production or processing of polymers are also listed. For each trade name the chemical name of the substance is given. Where available, the name of the manufacturer and the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry Number are added. For everybody dealing with polymers (producers, processors, importers, exporters) this index provides information about the chemical composition of a polymer product, which usually cannot be derived directly from a trade name. The information of this book is also available on a diskette, optionally on sale in combination with this book (but not solely). This offers access by name, ACS number and manufacturer's name as well. An operating system MS-DOS 3.0 or higher and a harddisk with a minumum storage of 20 MB are necessary.
