Erroneous Information

I am an herbalist who has been using homemade wormers for over twenty years. I have taken classes from reputable herbal schools. I make wormers for all my animals: dogs, cats, horses and various fowl. The information in this book is incorrect. For example, the author says to use Black Walnut bark which can be deadly to animals and humans due its toxicity. It is not the bark of the tree which is used. It is the ripened, black hull of the walnut itself. If you have the book, please research each ingredient in the formula that is listed before you use it.

Book "Parasites, the Ememy Within" by Hanna Kroeger. This is an interesting book by an exceptionally well qualified and famous herbalist. Very helpful if you have chronic unexplained illness that nothing else seems to help. Note: she suggests that you begin your treatment 5 days before the next full moon for best effect. Try to time it this way if you possibly can.

Nice primer on parasites

Hanna Kroeger MsD is a cross between a nutritionist and a new ager. She has been an annual speaker at the National Health Federation Conventions. I found this short book to be a great primer on the five classes of parasites, where they come from and what symptoms they cause. She offers an herbal alternative to the medical theory of 'differential toxicity' in which poisons are admisitered to the body in low enough amounts to be lethal only to the invaders. Interesting.
