Parallel Computing: Concepts and Applications

As an important part of computer science and technology, parallel computing refers to the art of performing multiple different computations and calculations simultaneously. Parallel computing has many sub-fields namely task parallelism, bit-level parallelism, data parallelism and instruction-level parallelism. In the present day scenario, parallel computing is being implemented in fields like sequence analysis, mathematical finance, protein folding, etc. This book attempts to understand the multiple branches that fall under the discipline of parallel computing and how such concepts have practical applications. For someone with an interest and eye for detail, this textbook covers the most significant topics in the field of parallel computing.
