In 1942, as the Japanese invade the Solomon Islands, young trader Tom Scott, aged 22, sees his burgeoning commodity trading business at risk. Amidst this chaos, the British Governor and his wife vanish on a flight returning from the western islands. They use their influence to threaten Tom's life, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown where love, survival, and the harsh realities of war intertwine.
