Edward Francis O'Brien was an architect, sketch artist, Secret Service agent, and Notre Dame & Harvard graduate. Born in Boston in 1886, Edward spent time in Europe studying architecture and sketching until World War I broke out, eventually joining the Secret Service. Following his service he worked for Mowll and Rand architects and continued his drawing profession. Throughout his life, Edward made hundreds of sketches, drawings, poems, and funny artwork in his spare time. This book is an example of what has survived over the past 130+ years. Together, Edward and his wife Gertrude had four children and resided in Medford, Massachusetts.
