I HAVE OWNED AND READ THIS BOOK MANY TIMES SINCE BUYING IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT ALONG WITH ALL HIS OTHER BOOKS ....THIS IS ONE MY MANY FAVORITES THAT HE HAS WRITTEN.....TRY AND TAKE THE JOURNEY DOWN THE RIVER ALONG WITH HIM YOU WILL LEARN MUCH ALONG THE WAY....CRAZYHORSE

Great book! Must read for Theology majors, etc.

I could see why the previous rater would call these "weird sci-fi stories", but in reality, they are parables from all of the world's major religions, and even a few minor ones... The aspect of "my religion vs. your religion" is removed completely by making the characters of each story "aliens" from "other planets" ... This makes the concepts accessible to all people without the thought of "I don't believe the same thing 'those people' believe." This is an incredibly great exercise in showing people of all faiths that what you believe isn't really as far from what "they" believe after all. Beautifully written, this book is a must read! It is written in a way that it can entertain children, but keep adults pleased as well. Please don't take my word for it... Buy this book for yourself, and your friends and family. (And NO, I'm not in any way affiliated with the authors. I found this book in a "bargain basement" several years ago, and I have kept it with me since then. It truly is a wonderful book!)
