Present day comedy focusing on an African Grey parrot in control of the misadventures of a Brooklyn Sicilian family, The Paesanos, and their Jewish friends, The Wackels. Joey Paesano is the owner of a pet shop superstore in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, New York, an all Italian and Jewish neighborhood. His wife Rosie, his son Anthony, his daughter Marie, and cousins Sal and Mario, all work for him. He's getting bored and wants something on the side for profits and excitement. Joey has always been fascinated with the Mafia and their numerous money making ways. He's convinced his best buddies, Isaac and Jacob Wackel, owners of the bagel shop next door, also his cousins and son and daughter into this fantasy with him, except for his wife Rosie, who they all keep it a secret from. She would kill them. Joeys one problem is Pappagallo, the African Grey Parrot who has become Rosies prize pet. Pappagallo has heard the plans which is going to mess things up for Joey and the crew for sure!
