Paper Wind is Ben Niespodziany's first collection of stories and poems. Crafted through the first quarter of 2016, the book is split into eight sections of ten pieces each, making for 80 short tales. Within this collection, you will find personal stories about Niespodziany's travels, inner thoughts, odd interactions with strangers, insomnia, abstract curiosities with music, snapshot observations, and more. From a drive-by shooting to a poor attempt at indoor skydiving to admiring a banjo player on the street, all of these stories are 100% authentic to the author, fully displayed for the first time. Referring to Chicago and to the element of movement, Paper Wind is deeply inspired by Niespodziany's attempts at trying to figure out the Windy City world around him after being in Ecuador for Peace Corps for over two years. He moved back inside of a blank piece of paper and tried his best to fly again. All of the stories included in this collection take place upon his return to the States, from July 2013 to April 2016, when this book was completed.
