Our four year-old daughter loves this book, and so do we. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, the few supplies it calls for are really the ones you'll need, and if the masks don't look exactly like the illustrations, they look great anyway! My husband and I have had _way_ too much fun making these with our daughter. There are *many* different animals represented, enough to keep us busy for a few years. This book is great for younger kids who love animals, as the pictures are fun to look at, even without making the masks. The book will be great, too, as they grow older and begin reading about Native American myths and legends. There are stories and descriptions attached to each animal mask. However, they are easy to pass over if the child is too young to read or if they are too "boring" for an active toddler or preschooler. I can't recommend this book enough.
Outstanding AND Easy

My 5-year old son checked this book out from our local library. My initial thought was ... oh great another craft that will take up MY time and I'll have to invest money in tons of stuff just to make one. I was wrong. The masks were simple to make, took just a few minutes and I already had everything needed to make one. My son could do the majority of the cutting AND the measuring!!! Best of all, they turned out soooooo cool that even my 9-year old made some of the masks for a cub scout project.
