The number-one blockbuster bestselling author delivers her most explosive and compelling novel yet, in which a woman must unlock the secrets of her own mind before she loses her life. She has a gift of unspeakable power. . . . He must control her or destroy her. . . . For as long as she can remember, successful young physician Megan Blair has tried to silence the voices in her head---voices that bring her to the edge of madness and terror. Megan possesses psychic powers that have been dormant for years, hidden deep in the past she's tried so desperately to forget. But now everything has come to a boiling point---someone is trying to kill her, and others are trying to use her, including the deadly and seductive Neal Grady. Shocking secrets about her life and her mother's death bombard her as she fights to take control of her heritage and save herself and everything she believes in. Grady holds the key to understanding her future, a future in which Megan's life will never be the same. If she survives to have a future. A fast-paced thrill ride, Pandora's Daughter is Iris Johansen as you've never read her before.
I'm SHOCKED that this book has such good reviews. Horrible prose, terrible; flat dialogue and one-dimensional characters. I could hardly get through the introduction without laughing. Predictable and unrealistic plot-line. It would be an easy read if it was actually readable. I don't know how it even got published, the editor should be laughed out of his or her position. Literally one of the worst books I've ever picked up. My third grade students right better dialogue. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
If you enjoy Kay Hooper's paranormal series, you'll love this one.

I think those who are used to the Eve Duncan series can't get into this one because it's such a 360 degree turn for Iris Johansen. But if you enjoy Kay Hooper's Bishop series, you'll enjoy this one. I certainly did!
Really like this book!

This book was fast-paced with interesting Dean Koontz-like psychic/paranormal activity, well-developed characters, steamy but not-too-graphic relationships, interesting character development. A fun book. I was in for the weekend and couldn't put it down. I've never read an Iris Johansen book before, but I'll definitely check out what else she's written.
Another great story

Another great novel by Iris Johansen. She keeps you on your toes through out the book. She carries you into another world, where mystery lingers just beyond your daily thoughts. This book is captivating, suspenseful, and paranormal all in one. A must read for any Iris Johansen fan.
Another soild effort from Johansen

Johansen is one of my favorite thriller writers in print today, I loved both Stalemate (Eve Duncan Forensics Thrillers) and Killer Dreams, so I was excited to receive my copy of Pandora's Daughter. Johansen keeps up the great pacing and suspense this author is known for. Megan Blair is a pediatrician who hears terrified voices, but she has no idea of there meaning until Neal Grady, a childhood friend shows up to inform her of her psychic powers. She is stunned to learn she was born to a family with an ancient psychic lineage. He warns that the man who killed her mother is now after her. He also plans to make her reveal her families secrets.... This is a different kind of thriller mixed with the occult. If I had to fault this book there are some instances of repetitiveness and the characterizations were on the thin side, but overall I still give this a solid four stars!
