Hot & steamy

Allison Hobbs, I give you a thumbs up on your first novel. I couldn't put it down after the first few pages. I had no idea on what goes in brothels or "massage parlors" and this opened my eyes quite a bit. I was proud of the main character, Victoria, who took that risk to do what she had to do to provide for her son and keep a roof over his head. She sunk to lows she never thought she would have to go to and encountered women from all walks of life who were at "Pandora's Box" for various reasons. Very good read.

Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures

After devoting all of her time and money towards a recording contract that does not happen, Victoria Carlton is desperate and left without a job or any money. Faced with mounting debt, the possibility of eviction, and taking care of her young son, Victoria seeks temporary employment at Pandora's Box, a massage/prostitution parlor. At Pandora's Box, she meets several intriguing people. The women who work there as well as the johns that frequent the establishments present deviance and destitution at its best. Although it was only supposed to be a temporary situation, Victoria finds herself caught up in the fast money and materialism that Pandora's Box offers her. After experiencing much drama and meeting a "special" client, Victoria is able to begin a journey of self-discovery about herself and her employment.Allison Hobbs debut novel is a drama filled quick read. I look forward to reading more from this author.Reviewed by Latoya Carter-Qawiyy

SEX ,MONEY AND LOVE

A GIRLFRIEND RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK AND I CAN SAY I TRULY ENJOYED READING IT. VICTORIA HAS MORE GUTS THAT I DO.SINCE HER SINGING CAREER DIDNT START OFF LIKE SHE WANTED, DID SHE REALLY CONSIDER HER OPTIONS WISELY. IT SEEMS LIKE EASY MONEY, BUT IT WAS A HIGH PRICE TO PAY. I'M GLAD THAT THE INCIDENT IN THE MASSAGE PARLOR CAME TO PAST, AND PUSHED VICTORIA TO GET OUT OF THAT LIFE SOONER. AT LEAST SHE ALWAYS KNEW IT WAS A SHORT TERM SOLUTION. KAREEM WAS HER LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.

Pandora's Box

Audacious book! Pandora's Box will keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense as to who will get the next trick. I've never read a book where I just couldn't put it down for a minute. Victoria Carlton seems to have lost her dignity in the beginning but by the end of the book, she not only gained her dignity but the man of her dreams. The author overpowers it's readers by showing how greed mixed with prostitution can eventually get you killed. I love this book and have recommended to all my family and friends. Many Many Blessings your way Allison,Donna Brown (Your email buddy from Baltimore, MD)
