The state tree of Tamil Nadu is the palm. A plant genus of grasses. The palm, which grows in temperate regions similar to the climate of Tamil Nadu, can live for at least 60 years. Every part of the palm from the root to the tip gives us many useful benefits

The palm tree benefits us in every way, from the pinch to the tree, until it falls down.

Squirrels and rats nest in the head of the palm. The palm is also home to high-flying birds such as hawks and skylarks. At the tip of the palm grove the sleeping sparrows build their nests in large numbers and live together.

The adage 'A thousand gold for an elephant, a thousand gold for a dead one' applies not only to the elephant but also to the palm tree.
