Book Overview

1933. Cuba stands on the brink of revolution.
Long before he became the famous archaeologist who discovered the tomb of King K'inich Janaab' Pakal, Alberto Ruiz arrived in Cuba to reclaim his family's fortune. There he fell in love with Calixta Guti rrez, whose brother Antonio was a revolutionary determined to overthrow the dictatorship of Gerardo Machado.
As political violence engulfs Havana, Alberto and Calixta are forced into exile, fleeing to the jungles of southern Mexico where a forgotten city lies hidden beneath centuries of earth and stone.
But some secrets are never meant to be found.
Deep within the ancient ruins of Palenque, Alberto uncovers evidence of a mystery far older than the Maya themselves. As powerful enemies close in, he discovers that the forces pursuing him are driven by occult ambitions and an ancient power capable of reshaping nations, altering the course of history, and unlocking mysteries that transcend life itself.
From the streets of Havana to the lost temples of the Maya, Palenque: The Forgotten Temple is a sweeping historical thriller featuring real historical figures and events, filled with adventure, romance, political intrigue, and secrets that refuse to remain buried.
