The first half of 2020 was unusual and eventful for just about everyone across our nation and even around the world. The impact of the corona virus pandemic has varied greatly. I know that many have struggled and suffered. The months of sheltering at home allowed me more time for Bible reading and reflection. Another blessing came through online weekly paint nights led by a delightful, creative and loving woman from our church. Through this creative, fun and opportunity to paint and connect with others while physically isolated, and my own reflections from God's Word came these ponderings. The paintings were not originally intended as illustrations. However, I found each one brought truths to mind that have blessed me recently. So I pray that these humble paintings and ponderings may bless you in some way. "Christ Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. Jesus existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together." Colossians 1:15-17 (The Bible, NLT) May Jesus touch your heart with the wonder of His love, presence and salvation, -Darleen
