A selection of poems by award winning Canadian Author and Poet Cathy McGough.
Cathy began writing poetry when she was in High School and her very first poem entitled "The Beginning" is included in this collection which she has dedicated to her parents and her grandmother who was "a poet in her own right."
Cathy, who was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, was influenced by Shakespeare and other poets such as Shelley, Tennyson and Wordsworth in addIition to Canadian Poets including James Reaney, Earl Birney who she met once at a reading at The Stratford Public Library, and Margaret Atwood who she met after a speaking event in Stratford's Avon Theatre. She is an avid reader of the poetry of Mary Oliver.
