Good reference

This is an excellent book, best for painters with some experience but helpful to beginners looking for study and advance students for ideas. Includes step-by-step demonstrations for 3 houses & street scenes, and 3 summer & snowy creeks; 2-plus pages each of sections (text & paintings) explaining techniques such as season paint colors, weather conditions, lighting conditions, and painting design; and paintings to illustrate key points (color compatibility, depth, values, glazing). Kaiser studied under John Pike and Tony Van Hasselt, and his painting style reflects those influences. I use this book as a constant reference to study how to paint windows, trees, roofs, cast shadows, etc.
