Good for Beginners

As an engineer, i was pretty ignorant about painting. I wanted to learn, so I found this book. The author does not assume the reader knows much, so everything is explained from the beginning. Each medium is introduced, then techniques and projects are shown for practicing with that medium. I really appreciate the chapters on pastels and watercolors.
