After 100 plus years of embracing westernization, I can boldly tell you that most people are better off in standard of living before western concepts entered Africa. The ideas of the west are only a distortion and distraction. I have suffered great pain, I have seen abject poverty, but in all I must make sure not to go back there no matter what (an average young black man). Is it worth it?
