The author was a personel trainer at IBM for over 20 years. She has condensed that experience down to a practical guide for success. While the main thrust is to employees working in medium to large corporations, the principles are generally applicable. But since the main thrust is to employees I think the book would be especially useful as a corporate training manual and as a corporate gift to all employees when first hired. One bit of advice that struck me as particularly valuable, both to the corporation and employee, was for the employee to request to review his/her personel file and get a clear picture of what it would take to get a top rating. So obvious that this would be a win/win for employee and corporation but almost unheard of in reality. The book is a little over a 100 pages. Understanding the formula SU = A(S+ K + E) is itself worth the price of the book. A final note. The solid practical proven advice is made interesting by the author interspersing her personal experiences.
