P O E M S: Pages of Emptying My Soul

POEMS is a book of poetry written from 2014 to present. POEMS is an acronym, meaning "pages of emptying my soul." I chose this title because it fits. It's a perfect description of its contents. These poems are just that-pages of emptying my soul, writing out exactly what is on my mind. I may be reading the Bible or attending Bible study on YouTube, Bishop TD Jakes, then it is that I become inspired to write. Other poems were written because there was no one to talk to, so I expressed myself poetically. My mother once was my only audience. She was the one who encouraged me to be heard of by others. She passed away in 2016, so this is basically keeping up with what she always said I could do. Coming from a sound place to a place of chaos, I still manage to write and apply wisdom to whatever is on my mind in the form of a poem.
