Comprehensive and logical approach to improving vocabulary

I really liked this book for its compact yet comprehensive lists of words sorted by theme/situation. The book goes beyond the basics of "checking into a hotel" to cover topics such as politics, Internet use, entertainment, and about 80 others. Most word lists also contain a paragraph that uses many of the most common words in context to give the user a helpful usage guide as well as a practical test of their memory retention.This book is recommended to those just starting off as well as those with more experience who want to fill out the gaps in their vocabulary. I wish I had purchased this book ten years ago when I started learning Spanish. I still find it useful today.
