This is Just What the Title says...

This book is a great source for purely Irish quotes - for those who are fiercely defensive of the homeland, those that love to mock it, or anyone else. Since I was actually looking for those disgustingly trite bits of Irish wisdom, the ones that lend themselves to a great brogue and end with 'laddie, this book didn't exactly suit my needs. However, it does cover a wide variety of topics, has more than 2000 quotes and is current enough to include Sinead O'Connor and Bono, without forgetting Yeats and Anthony Trollope (although I suppose that wouldn't really be allowed, would it?)The only fault that I found with this book was the formatting. For some reason I found the text style hard to read, and that doesn't happen often to me. Other than that its a great reference book for those of us that are Irish, but whose grandparents didn't remember to talk about it.
