" Teenage Jealousy"- A Fatality

I had seen the film "The Stalking of Laurie Show" an original USA picture first. After I was so stricken with curiousity that I bought the book,"Overkill" by Lyn Riddle. The book gives a true and very accurate account of this sad, senseless murder of a young woman who under any circumstances did not deserve to die. I believe Lisa Michelle Lambert murderd Laurie Show and didn't give it asecond thought. Somehow, Lisa Lambert directed her wrath at Laurie Show for a very immature and very unreasonable reason. Laurie had went out with Lisa's boyfriend Lawerence "Butch" Yunkin(who also had a part in Laurie's death as did Tabitha Buck) only a couple of times and on one of those occasions Lawerence had raped Laurie. However. Lisa Lambert ignored this fact and accused Laurie of being a seducer. Lisa began stalking Laurie Show and tried ruining her reputation along with a recently made friend, Tabitha Buck. The case ends in tragedy with Laurie being savagely murdered by Lisa Lambert. After the murder Lisa showed no remorse and denies any involvement in Laurie Show's death, she denies it til this day. Lyn riddle writes the whole compelling,TRUE story and gives great respect and sympathy to Laurie Show and that is very important when writing about any true crime case. I would definitely recommend this well written and extremely sensitive book to anyone who is interested in this sad and senseless case of deadly teenage jealousy. the best book in the world

This book was the best book i have ever read in a long-long time.i really injoyed the book alot .

For Mrs. Pittman's Class

In my opinion, this book was very well written. It kept your attention and made you think of who was actually telling the truth.I could have done without the pictures, but for the most part the book was very detailed and didn't just focus on the childhood of Laura, it told of what could have driven these three kids insane into taking the life of another.I gave this book five stars because it is the only book my class has been given the option to read that could actually keep me up at night reading. I would recommend this book to anyone who had the stomach to stand all the details of this almost never ending murder and trail.

Overkill

Overkill to me was a great book. It shows how teenagers can become overly jealous when in relationships. Michelle Lambert chose to ruin her life by killing someone. She not only ruined her life but also the people who she made become involved in such a horrendous murder. I personally think everyone should read this book because if you are in a similar situation or you think you know someone who is in a similar situation, it can help you to help yourself or help someone else. This book is a great book to read because it shows you that things happen out in the world that you just don't think could happen. I encourage everyone to read this book.

Review from a Lancaster County, PA Resident !! :)

As a long-time Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, resident who lives within a mile of where Laurie Show was murdered on Dec. 20, 1991 and as a resident, I have as many Lancasterians followed every development, twist and turn in this case. I can tell all readers and potential readers of this book by Lyn Riddle, that this author has accomplished nothing less than excellence in telling the total truth about the murder of Laurie Show. No where within this book has Lyn Riddle detracted anything from the truth or changed or misconscrued any facts whatsoever. Much unlike the Hollywood movie did. To anyone across the country who really wants to know the truth of this, I do highly recommend you read this book, "Overkill" by Lyn Riddle. You will know the truth in this case by this book, the real murderer Lisa Michelle Lambert, the participants Tabitha Buck and Lawrence Yunkin, as well as understand their families, and Laurie and her family. This book should serve as an awareness to all, that this senseless murder and the circumstances which brought it about, should never happen to any family or child. It speaks the truth so well. I challenge everyone to read it!
