The author has lived with Diabetes, Cerebral Palsy, Kidney Failure, Dialysis and transplanted organs. Parts of his story may make you cry and parts will give you hope. He shares his view of childhood living with CP and Diabetes. How he was able to find a place to fit in and belong. He talks about his life experiences going through the education system with disabilites. Where he was able to succeed, and where he failed. He talks about different jobs he held after age 17 and how his disabilities affected his view of the work and his performance. In his thirties his kidneys failed and he describes his ordeal with dialysis and his first kidney transplant. How this followed by the death of his mother changed his focus on life. The steps he took to receive a second transplant to cure his diabetes. A second kidney failure leads to living life on dialysis with hope by helping others through volunteering. To the author life is as John Rambo put it: "Nothing is over! Nothing! You just can't turn it off."
