Over the Precipice

Paul Michaels is a retired US Army Green Beret living with his family in rural West Virginia. During his time in the army, he had been deployed to numerous countries around the world, including several combat deployments to Afghanistan. Now, following his retirement, he was just trying to live a comfortable life on his 100-acre homestead with his wife and daughter. Paul watched the world unraveled. He became more and more certain that his years of preparation and his extensive training would become crucial in the coming times. Now, America seemed to be inching closer and closer to getting right back into another war, potentially a world war. The United States was experiencing unprecedented inflation, so of course that became a factor in everyone's daily decisions. Everyone was feeling the pressure from the weakened purchasing power of the U.S. Dollar. The other thing that Paul had going for him was a robust group of like-minded and capable friends. Not only were he and his friends close, but they all shared a passion for readiness and training. They trained together, they had parties with all the families, and they all believed, really believed, that in an emergency, the best chance of survival was to pull together as a team. So that's what they did. The team would train hard, work hard and play hard. The Precipice Series continues in Over the Precipice. As America struggles with a new threat, Paul Michaels and his group try to adjust tot he growing difficulties spreading across the nation. A multi-national enemy creates new challenges and every person must find their own path through the chaos. How long will it be before Americans turn against Americans?
