A highly evolved species of aliens from an extremely distant universe has long explored the inner and outer cosmos of existence. Lxsr, the commander of the starship "Tehm," is at the heart of a pressing mission just assigned to him. Over many centuries he and his kind have developed technologies far beyond anything we can imagine, and the latest of these now allow their "Outreachers" to venture forth to places in space-time and other dimensions that have never before been explored. But that is a problem. Back on their home planet of Aifer, the Great Cognitive Council has met with Master Osiim and Commander Lxsr in a shared meditation they call a "wharlii." Through this cognitive dive, they have discovered that a serious ill-wind is blowing in on the alpha-waves they are receiving. From this wharlii, they realize they must act to stop the terrifying ugliness of this manifestation before it has a chance to overtake the entire multiverse. This ill-wind has become seriously stronger of late, and that is a very bad development, indeed. Lxsr is assigned the responsibility of commanding a mission to track down the location of this ill-wind, which is centered around Admiral Mkii, another Aiferian Outreacher and a young girl named Lilian. Master Osiim is accompanying them on this trek, because his meditative skills, honed to a high degree through centuries of developing a sense of the alpha-waves coming to him, allow him to find the precise location in space-time (and one other surprising dimensional variable). To navigate to this location, he uses both the ship's termion drive and the Micro-dimension Traverser technology they have most recently developed. Commander Lxsr can only look on with utter amazement as Master Osiim accomplishes this rather odd task. In the end, it is a novel of right versus wrong, good versus evil, a powerful cautionary tale for all time. And this is true not just for Aiferians, but for us here on Earth too, which is the actual destination for this cosmos-saving mission.
