I grew up with this book. As the cover suggests, it addresses a camping culture we don't really have anymore; the techniques revolve around campfires, not stoves, and presume that you've arrived by car or boat with a full cooler of food. But boy are there some good recipes in here. Takes me right back to my childhood. I remember making some of this stuff on the stove at home, it was so good. If you go on family car-campouts, or to fishcamps with the guys, this book will give you lots of old-fashioned camping comfort-fare that's just as good as it ever was. Uses plain old ingredients from the supermarket, too.
