Fresh from prison, former art forger Victor Sykes has two problems: his resume is a liability in finding legitimate employment, and the loan shark he stuck for three-million dollars wants his money back in thirty days. Sykes's only hope for survival is to transform a young skateboard painter's edgy artwork into pop-art's new big thing. It sets up a conflict between generations, because the kid wants skateboard status with his inner-city crew, and Sykes needs him to be a great artist he can hype to the art world. It's street grit versus art world glamour, and the loan shark wants his money or else.
