Wonderful book!

Barbara has written a very moving, informative book with lots of humor and honesty. I'm going through a very similar experience and can really relate to all she has to say. This is a book anyone who is caring for an elderly parent should read! It makes you laugh all the way through it because of Barbara's great sense of humor. Even if you're not in this situation, anyone would thoroughly enjoy reading it.

Wonderful Read

I loved this book from the first page to the last. It's a heartwarming, often funny look at the curveballs life throws us as we age. You will find yourself thinking of the people in this book for a long time after finishing it.

A must read!

This is a must read for anyone taking care of an elderly loved one. Or just anyone that wants to read a book of love, life, and coping with the things life throws us. I laughed out loud at times, and then sobbed at others. I didn't want it to end. Hope to see another book from Barbara Blanks soon!

Heartwarming

I was giggling one minute, and sniffling with teary eyes the next. Barb has a way of making you feel like you're right there, and it seemed she had good insight into Pop's feelings. I didn't want it to end and I find myself thinking about Pop, Barb, John, and the residents of Mayberry often. It's quite a lesson in compassion and patience.

A Delightful Read...

A wonderful book that had me laughing out loud one minute and sobbing the next minute. Barbara Blanks is a delightful author who shares her point of view in elder care. I hope to have the patience that she did in caring for Pops when it comes time for me to take over the total care of my parents. Thanks for sharing the good times, the bad times and the sad times. I look forward to more books written by Barb.
