In a society where the marriage institution is rapidly failing, Out of the Miry Clay is a Christian play which revolves round marriage, revealing the method and process involve in a successful marriage. The play tells the story of a young man, Mr. Okuns who attempted suicide on several occasions as a result of his failed marriage. His redemption comes when he finally has an encounter with God, through his nephew who believes that the solution to his uncle's failed marriage is reconciliation with his estranged wife. But Mr. Okuns redemption comes as a shocker.
