Historical Romance

A compelling novel set in Victorian Suffolk and London. Charlotte, eager to escape from the oppressive atmosphere of her home, goes to teach at a school run by the untrustworthy Mrs. Armitage. When events from Charlotte's past were re-created some questions were naturally asked, such as, "Was Charlotte responsible for the death of the young pupil she loved?" In darker moments, even Charlotte herself was unsure.
