Repair Me Well

You've just survived an encounter with a soul-consuming demon, what do you do next?
Ewan Coles is trying to move on, living in the aftermath of his fiance's mysterious death.
But things can never go back to the way they were.
When an old ally from the dream world confronts Ewan with a desperate plea, Ewan feels his tenuous grasp on reality unravel, and he finds himself, literally, on the edge. Will Ewan choose to champion the lives of people from his dream existence, or will he stay behind to protect his family in the waking world?

This is book two of the Thin Places trilogy, exploring the narrative underpinning connecting three years of dream journaling.

A perfect book to snuggle up to on a stormy afternoon

Page 51, "The whispering stopped. It stopped as abruptly as an engine shuts off steam. Silence dropped like a blanket, so that in a matter of seconds the memory of the sound seemed illusory, while the silence itself surged with millions of whisperings, all equally unreal. But the sense of desperation was still there, even in the silence. It was as if the stillness were a held breath, that might burst at any moment in a scream."...

Suspense At Its Best

I loved this book! It is a great example of Mary Stewart's ability to create suspense and atmosphere in writing. I only wish that she would write another book sometime. I don't even know if she is still around.

Maybe its a little dated;

But it is a great book. I enjoyed the whodunit atmosphere, and of course the sligh twang of romance in the air. Again, this book was written in the 60's I think ,so some of the feminine perspectives might be different, but I enjoyed this novel for all its minute details! Mary Stewart makes her characters come to life!

One of her best(if not her best)

I think this book along with 'This Rough Magic' and 'Nine Coaches Waiting' form her three best works and can be either classified as sensitive romances or well written suspense thrillers depending on the user's perspective.All you Mary Stewart fans(and even non fans) pleaase give these books a try.They're worth it.
