Our Trip Around Australia in 1976

Keeping in touch and getting money out of the bank were only two things we did differently back then. I write about several other practices that are different now. This book is meant to give you something other than travel information as what I am writing about happened forty years ago. More up-to-date information on the places we visited is now available on the Internet, something not accessible to us when we were planning our trip. We used the road service club we were members of for travel information. Our second-hand caravan was at least fifteen years old when we started our journey, though running repairs and slight alterations had been made whenever I saw a better way for something to work. Our station wagon had been with us for at least five years and was thought by most to be at the end of its working life.
I am writing about the difference between travelling back then to travelling now; quite normal for us, and no real hardship.
