Our Stories

By Wintergreen's After School Art Students

"Our Stories" is a collection of personal narratives written and illustrated by nineteen children from northern Maine, aged six to 11, and their after-school teacher. The children participated in a six-week, after-school program at the Wintergreen Arts Center in Presque Isle, Maine, learning about the writing and publishing process. These stories are about friendships, family time, and treasured pets. The Wintergreen Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide meaningful experiences that encourage an appreciation of the arts, stimulate creativity and innovation, and offer an artistic community space where all are welcome. www.wintergreenarts.org
