very sweet story about animal children saving town library

the raccoon teams up with the goose librarian and the raccoon's friends the squirrel, the skunk, the rabbit, the gopher, the porcupine etc to read books from their library about various subjects to save their library. In this age of budget cuts, it rings all too true. and some funny lines, like "an ignorant skunk is a very sad skunk indeed." My son is almost 3 and since we got this book last week, I have read it to him a few times a day. 3x today I think. It's enjoyable for him and I like reading it to him. When he's older he'll get it on a different level.

Great book and got my daughter thinking about how sad our town would be without a library.

Great story, artwork, the whole 9!

What a great book. The story is sweet and caring not to mention funny. The artwork is colorful, adorable and first-rate. Great for imparting the importance of a library in children's lives.
