The apparitions at Fatima took place in 1917 in a small village in Portugal, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children: Lucia dos Santos, Francisco Marto, and Jacinta Marto. Over six months, from May to October, Mary appeared to them on the 13th of each month, delivering messages of prayer, repentance, and devotion to God.
Mary urged the children to pray the Rosary daily for peace and the conversion of sinners. She also showed them a vision of hell, warning that without prayer and sacrifice, many souls would be lost. She requested the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart to prevent further wars.

The final apparition on October 13, 1917, is known as the Miracle of the Sun, witnessed by 70,000 people. The sun appeared to spin, change colors, and move in a zigzag pattern, leaving many in awe.
The message of Fatima remains important today, reminding us to pray, repent, and trust in God's mercy. The apparitions have been officially approved by the Catholic Church, and Our Lady of Fatima is honored worldwide as a sign of hope and faith.
