Superb photography and well-done devotions.

I have owned a lot of devotional books, but this is by far my favorite--a statement that I don't make lightly. Dr. Marty is a well-known church historian and theologian, but this book will speak equally well to scholars, preachers, or anyone else who seeks to reflect on their faith. Marty has matched hymn verses with the devotions, and the genius of both Martys is evident as the pictures, hymns, and devotions speak together. As much as I praise the devotions, I must confess that often I just look through the pictures, which say enough to me all by themselves.
