such an underrated book

our history in the future is one of the best formatted nonfiction books i have ever read. the way Nick Estes slowly progresses through the early colonization of native peoples and connects those themes to modern day struggles our native brothers and sisters are still experiencing is SO well done. i walked away from reading this book feeling so much more educated on and dedicated to the land back and land preservation movements happening within native communities. we do not give our indigenous communities enough credit for their perseverance through genocide and ecocide.
