Climate change is Our Greatest Challenge. We must eliminate CO2 emissions to preserve the planet as we know it, yet maintain our quality of life. The cost is astronomical but doable and financeable. We have an obligation to our children and their children and their grand and great grand children. We cannot shy away because it is expensive or difficult. Americans do not give up. The private sector cannot finance it. The government will have to act. It could be financed with a carbon rationing mechanism locally and worldwide, with those that emit less can sell rights to those that emit more, letting the free market set the price of emissions. We need a US leader to lead us and the world.
